Better JPG input
OCR quality depends on the pixels in the file. These checks often matter more than trying the same compressed image repeatedly.
Blocky edges and ringing around small letters remove useful detail. Export at a higher quality when the source is available.
Use the original capture when possible. Upscaling a blurred thumbnail does not restore missing character shapes.
Dark text on a clear, even background is easier to separate than faint text, shadows, gradients, or glare.
What this release does
The converter does not add sharpening, deskew, denoise, or contrast controls in V1. Keep files under 10 MiB, 25 megapixels, and 8,192 pixels per side, then edit uncertain characters in the result.
One printed-text JPG, PNG, or WebP; English or Simplified Chinese plus English; editable plain text.
The image and recognized text are not sent to an OCR API, storage route, database, or payment flow.
