  • Images you process: images you submit for text recognition. In the free in-browser mode, images are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device. In cloud recognition mode, an image is held in memory only for the duration of the request and is not stored.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our website, including pages visited and time spent.
  • Device Information: Details about the device you use to access our services, such as IP address, browser type, and operating system.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our services
  • To notify you about changes to our services
  • To provide customer support
  • To gather analysis or valuable information to improve our services
  • To monitor the usage of our services
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Logs and analytics do not contain your document text or file names.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a limited set of third-party service providers to operate our services:

  • Payment processing: Creem acts as merchant of record and handles payments, invoices, and taxes.
  • Email delivery: transactional and newsletter emails are sent through Resend.
  • Cloud recognition: when you use cloud recognition, the submitted image is processed on our behalf by a third-party AI recognition provider, solely to return your result.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: our application and database run on standard cloud infrastructure providers.

These providers process information only as necessary to provide their services to us.

Data Retention

Images you process are not persisted: in-browser processing never uploads them, and cloud recognition holds them in memory only for the duration of the request. Your account information is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from your account settings, or contact us at support@pictotxt.com to request deletion of your personal data.
